St. Clair Ramps Bass Haven In most cases I launch from Bass Haven, it provides a Tackle Shop, Live Bait, Ontario Fishing Licences, Walpole Permits, Washroom Facilities and Limited Camping. Bass Haven, R.R. #6, Wallaceburg, Ontario, 519-354-4242 Bass Haven is 1 hour and 30 mins. from Detroit. Directions to Bass Haven from Detriot, Mi. via the Ambassador Bridge, out of Windsor. Take 401 EAST to the second Tilbury exit, #63, onto Highway #2 Go 3.8 miles, turn left on Kent County #7 Road - go though Prairie Siding to the dead end and turn right. Go 1/2 mile then turn left, go up and over the bridge on the Thames River. When over bridge, go straight 1.3 miles then turn right. Go 2.6 miles and turn left at Pain Court, onto Winterline Rd. Go 8 miles, right on through to the 4-way stop at Mitchell's Bay. Bass Haven is straight ahead at the end of gravel road.
To move map hold Mouse over map while holding button down. Bass Haven is approximately 4 hours South West of Toronto Ontario. Take 401 West to the first Chatham exit (Hwy. 40 Wallaceburg) Turn right on 40 Hwy. and continue North thru Chatham towards Wallaceburg. Approx. 10 mins. North of Chatham on #40 you will see a Grain Elevator and a large sign that says Mitchell's Bay. Turn left and follow the signs into the "Bay" You will see our sign on the corner at the 4-way stop. Deerbrook Marina When the Muskie are on the southern shore of Lake St. Clair Deerbrook Marina on the Ruscom River is the ramp of choice. The Marina does sell some tackle, mostly large Muskie baits and some Walleye tackle. They also have minnows and worms, salt tubes etc. Ontario fishing licences are available as well as pop, chips some sandwiches, and ice.
From Detroit take highway 401 East, this connects directly to the Bridge between Detroit and Windsor. Travel East to St. Joachim Road, Exit number 40, this will be the next exit past Belle River. Go North on St. Joachim Road to St. Joachim, the road will dead end in front of a Church, turn right 1 then turn left at the next street, the sign says Highway 31. This road will come out right in front of Deerbrook Marina.
From the border it is only about 30 miles to the Marina. Speed on Highway 401 is 100 Kilometers Per Hour, that is 62 Miles Per Hour. The Marina has Canadian Fishing Licences. Deerbrook Marina
